Coach "Bear" Bryant: "Who in the hell is that?" High School Coach: "That there is Nick Saban, coach - Just the local idiot"
I've got news for you guys.... NS could be the next LSU coach if Les Miles leaves for UM. I base my theory on his own words and character as well. 1) He has said that he should've never left LSU 2) I also base it on the fact that the position will be open and if things don't go as well in Gumpland as planned it would be too tempting. Then again that would fit his track record. Also based that his family may prefer BR over Tuscaloosa but it could be the other way around? Yes, I am assuming a few things and one should never assume but its really based on his own words and character. A lot of people could be eating crow. Btw I am up this time of morning because I've had the stomach flu for those that have to know.
You're also assuming that the LSU fanbase (not to mention the LSU athletic department) would even want/accept him as the LSU football coach again. I just don't see that happening.
I'm sure Bama has quite a big retainer on him. I wouldn't take him back unless he gave up the $10mill/yr and came for $2 or $3 mill. Let's see his true intentions.
?? No buyout clause. And, FWIW, the comments earlier were about leaving the college football arena, not specifically, any given team.
He is a good coach , Nick , that is . But Bama is two years away, it makes no difference who coaches LSU we will will for the next 3 years . I could coach this team and win 10 games a year !! All I would do is sit on the side lines and pick my guitar and let the team do what they know to do !! Let Miles go get me for the coach , I am cheap , I like Tiger football you cannot run me away , you in Tiger forums know that , you have tried for years !! Geaux Tigers !!!!
