I don't think it's all that easy to just pick up a game with a big name team from a BSC conference. These schedules are done years in advance for the most part. Last minute additions are almost always 1AA schools or lower tier 1A schools. The best we could hope for would be to get someone like Fresno St. or South Florida or something on that level. You never know though.

Tulane just announced changes, layoffs, etc. on their website. Looks like football will be around for another year.

get arizona home, and schedule la tech for an in state game and a low level conf game too. replace toolame with a big 12 team or an acc team cause it's not a bad trip (texas A&M, nc state, texas tech, maryland) a normally 15-30 ranked team, and then get a bad team from a big conference: illinois, syracuse, duke, kansas...

just stay away from 1aa and the low level conferences. the voters would look at a game vs illinois of the big ten, more admirably than one vs a good mac or wac team... just my opinion. stay in the power conferences and you're sos will be rewarded.

The problem is BCS ADs are by and large cocky and will want a home and home. Do we gain that much getting a BCS patsy like Duke and then have to give up a home game the next year?

I think we should try and have one good name OOC opponent and do a home and home every year. I would love if it was the same team year in and year out like we used to have with TAMU.

I then think we should hae one solid mid-major who won't get upity and want a return trip. Maybe we could throw Fresno or Marshall a bone and give them a 5 for 1.

Then fill it in with two patsies who know we will never go to their place. Maybe we could play two state schools or something like that.

    I am begging here.

Please schedule a home and home with Stanford.

Or Cal. Or USC or UCLA or Oregon or Oregon State.

Living on the West Coast i would scream for joy if LSU would do that.

WBRZ said last night that Tulane is pretty sure that football will be around for the 2006 season. I would love it if Skip would make some calls and get some big dogs to play us in a home and home in the future (2008 season, 2009 season, and so on.)

I'd love for them to have scheduled a home and home with Florida State to shut the yahoos up over here about the Noles, but it won't happen now with 'Bama doing the Jacksonville thing.
