1. What's that I hear?

    Is it a hog call?

Yes, I do believe it is.

Lets hear that hog call again:

    " NEXT YEAR! "

See you hear again 'next year' around this time?

    :)

  2. The only reason it is being done is to try and secure one, ONE, stinking recruit. A recruit that everyone in the state of Arkansas believes can come right on in and turn their sorry program around. They have hired a HS coach that has zero college coaching experience. He has never called a play against a college DC. He has never coached against anything like that level of talent he is about to. He is unproven, and untested. Since Arkansas has decided to bring in an OC, and with the resources they have available, they could have got just about anyone.

It is but one more stupid move by a stupid AD with a stupid HC at a stupid college that is buried deep in a stupid state.

"trying to attain greatness"
  3. It is a sign of complete desperation just to sign a quarterback with potential.

I think I heard Beano Cook saying Mitch will be the next Ron Powlus and win 4 heisman trophies b4 it is all said and done.
  4. Our OC is proven. Our offense sucked this year.
  5. Hmm, I seem to remember Urban Meyer being an 'offensive genuis' as well. The spread offense ain't hackening it in the SEC... Maybe this Malzahn guy will turn out to be a good OC for Arkansas, but it sure as hell won't be next year. You don't go from high school to the SEC without a transition phase.
  6. Our offense didn't suck. I'm not the biggest fan of Jimbo, but there is no way you can make a statement like "Our offense sucked" and have any credibility. Fisher is way above an average OC. Are there better? You bet. Does the one we have suck? Hell no. Only a fool would think that. Are you saying that you would trade Jimbo for their guy?
  7. If it didn't suck... at best it was mediocre.

Did you watch any games this year? When did our offense look good? I'm not blaming Fisher, but he has experience at more than one school in the SEC, has been at LSU for a few years, and still our offense was unexceptional this season.

Based on two seasons of excellent offense in six?

Could our offense have been worse? A little.
Was our offense a pleasure to watch against competent defenses? Hell no.

I'm not saying I would rather have their OC, I'm just saying that having that experience didn't do much for our offense this season. We are no offensive juggernaut to be questioning another school's OC hire. Add to it that every great coach has to start somewhere. Does a good coach have to go through being a grad assistant to being a position coach to being a coordinator? No more than a successful businessman has to have a college degree. There is more than one way to success. Not being open to that limits you. You sound like a snob dissing their coach.
  8. You're telling me? I have no degree and most would consider me a successful businessman. I've done a pretty good job of selling myself and proving my abilities to make it to where I am today. I know all to well that a pedigree doesn't make the man. All I am saying is that their decision has nothing to do with someone seeing a spark of genius in this guy. It was a hire made simply to get their hands on Mitch. Also, when you have the resources that they do, you don't take chances on the unproven. And you don't make them the stinking OC. I would have zero problem with making him a QB coach or something along those lines.

Don't get me wrong. In a way I'm glad they hired him. It's fun beating Arkansas. I'm very confident that next year we will make it 4 in a row. Thanks in part to them wasting an opportunity to improve their situation.

If you knew me, I'd be the last person you would think of as a snob. I just really hate Arkansas so I am taking advantage of this example to make fun of them.
  9. Nothing wrong with that. I'm not so sure that the guy is going to be terrible, though.
  10. I think you have hit rock bottom and can only go up. So, I'm confused... does that make you right..... or wrong???

And, yes, next year you should leap all the way to 6-6, maybe 7-5 with an upset. Just a wild guess, but you should outscore LA-Monroe, Vandy, SE Missouri State, Ole Miss, Utah State and Missisippi State... there's your 6 wins... then lose to Southern Cal, Bama, Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee and LSU... there's your 6 losses.

    Did someone just say Shreveport??
