Indeed. She had "it". IMO, she is one of the few in her line of work who aged gracefully and beautifully.

Absolutely. Age happens but it doesn't have to look like this....

When the name of Lauren Bacall would come up I always thought she was known for her beauty, class and sultry voice. Now that she is dead I can't think of a single movie I've seen her in other than Key Largo. I'm not a fan of old black and white movies but it seems like I would have seen her more often. The only other thing I can remember seeing her in was an episode of the Sopranos in a cameo role as herself.

Christopher and Little Carmine were in Hollywood to try to persuade Ben Kingsley to star as the Mafia boss in the movie they were producing. When Christopher found out about the value of the goodies they put in the Swag Bags given to the VIPs attending the Academy Awards he tried to get Kingsley to put him on the VIP Swag Bag list but Kingsley wouldn't do it. Kinglsey was escorting Lauren Bacall when they were leaving the awards ceremony when Christopher and Little Carmine appeared out of nowhere wearing Scream masks. Christopher punched Lauren in the face and grabbed her Swag Bag.

What bothers you about black and white? There are some terrific ones.

For Bogey and Bacall watch To Have and Have Not. Bacall is 19 and sizzling. Hoagie Carmichael is in it and no one is cooler except Bogey. The Big Sleep is classic cinema noir.

While you are at it, check out Bogart in Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Casablanca, and The African Queen, that one was in Technicolor.

I love old black and white movies. She didn't have a huge filmography. She was nominated for an Oscar just once I think for playing Barbra Streisand's mother in The Mirror Has Two Faces.
