  5. Lauren Salkeld is a baker in New York. With the diversity in New York I'm sure there's not much they don't eat. She said "collards" in the south. I don't even know wtf collards are.

That said, I never could eat greens. I ask my wife not to cook cabbage if I'm going to be around cause I can't even stand the smell. I wish I could but makes me want to throw up.

I'm so glad my kids do like greens cause it's so healthy.
  6. In nawth Louisiana country cooking there are three greens -- Mustard greens, Turnip greens, and Collard greens. I like collards the least.

And I require large amounts of pepper relish on any of them. No one made it like my aunt Grace who has been dead for 25 years. I still seek a good commercial pepper relish.
  7. Had Galatoires in New Orleans after a long NYE on the town......Turkey, Cabbage,(barf, I hate Cabbage) Black eyes, Crab Cakes and some killer bread pudding. All washed down by a few Milk Punches..........post lunch nap was epic.
  8. Well, this thread tells me why I'm not rich or lucky. I hate those traditional foods.
