New Virus...

I don't know if I should post this in the Round Table or here, I feel more people will see it here.

There's a new virus that hit Monday. It's known as MyDoom, or Novarg. It's an email bourne virus.

I just forwarded that to my boss.

Looks like it won't be a fun day at work for me at LSU's help desk tomorrow.

Last semester we had 75% of the campus computers infected with the Welchia worm. Not fun.

I'm glad I got out of OCS back in 2000 before these things started running rampant. LSU's computer security was, and still is, absolutely pitiful.

Is Rachel still running the show over there?

 

Thanks for the news - a bit too late - saw signs last night of the virus, but luckily we have a safegaurd in place. I thought the bizarre return e-mails I never sent were due to all the SNOW/ICE we're getting here!

 

I had a couple cases of it at work today.

 

This thing is nasty, nasty nasty... A friend of mine got a hold of it and is trying to figure it out now... I'll let ya'll know what we find
