Be sure to tailgate in the shade.Keep a nice cold beer handy if the little kiddo gets warm, and if it's nap time, do what my pops would do and give him a shot of some Jack Daniels and he'll feel some Southern Comfort.

No but seriously, i don't think it will be too hot for the little baby but always keep him or her hydrated, ALWAYS! Plenty of water and keep him fed.

find a babysitting service in LA ... Surf the net ...

If at all posible I would leave your kid with a family member for this trip. The weather (or change of it I should say) could cause some problems and get the little one sick.(mainly sinus) I was stationed on the west coast for a while and everytime I came home I would get a sinus infection. It may have been just me I don't know but it is a drastic change in the climate and it is very hot at that time of the year.
Either way I hope you and your family enjoy the trip.

My three-year-old is staying with her grandparents (God bless 'em) while I'm at the game. I don't know how enjoyable a trip to Death Valley with a four-month-old would be.

Maybe you can find some of those old lady LSU tailgaters who like to watch the game in their RV, instead of the stadium to babysit. Nah, I wouldn't want to leave my little one with someone I don't know.

Couldn't you just see the look on their face when they returned, and the little old lady was just standing there, stirring a big ole pot of gumbo,and no child in sight.

I agree with Ramah, I have a 5 month old and we are going to wait until October to bring him to his first game. It will very hot and humid on game day.



I have been going to LSU games all my life and the heat did not bother me any, but when I got married and started taking my wife (she is a Texan) to the LSU games she complained nonstop. She bitched so much about the heat and humidity for the first game; she no longer comes to September games anymore. Subsequently, it seems that I am constantly wasted for the games in September with my old college buddies, but that is another story.



My buddy took his baby to the first home game two years ago and he did not have a good time all day. He spent most of tailgating inside the student union because the baby couldn't be outside and he had to leave the game before halftime because his kid was miserable.



My advice, bring someone to Baton Rouge with you who is not going to the game. They can stay in your hotel room with your kid, so you do not have to miss out on all of the fun.

Probably, however you have the benefit of it being your girlfriend and not your wife. Girlfriends tend to complain less. :thumb:
