It depends on how far you go back. I guess to compare similar time frames the only one that comes to mind that you left out would be Drew Brees (Tom Brady may be further back). Then there are the ones that are still playing. Henne, Palko (Pitt), Ball, Smith, and Stanton. Granted Stanton will be a long shot and Ball will probably get drafted, but not as a QB. Pretty interesting comment about the breakdown of NFL QB's based on region. I've never really looked into it, but now you've got me curious.
Good point. Probably one of my favorite LSU quarterbacks. I just liked his attitude. He took some heavy heat for his struggles early in his career (which apparantly had more to do w/ coaching), but always seemed to have a great attitude.
Carson Palmer has made a splash, yes. But Lienhart? I wouldn't say he's made a splash just yet. He's just gotten his feet wet. Same with VY, although Sunday, he certainly started making waves!
Jason White was a Heisman Winner. Brady Quinn was not... He is way over rated. No way ND puts up 42 points on LSU. LSU Defense is going to pound the ND offense. Quinn will not have time to throw the ball.

Louisiana has by far given the most QBs to the NFL than any state in the union, ever. It was in a Sports Illustrated article a few years ago.

I'm still here... I thought the rest of you had gotten wrapped up in the Pelini discussion or debating whether or not Jamarcus was smart or not. Did a little research. Out a total of 91 quarterbacks on NFL rosters, it was evenly split north/south - 45/46. Most of the list of schools with a quarterback on a roster have only one. There are a couple of surprises. There are two schools that have the most at 4 each. One is Michigan. Any guesses who the other "Quaterback U" is? I'll let it sit for a while. Another interesting point, LSU didn't have any QB's listed. I thought Rohan Davey was still in the NFL. I also thought one of the other qb's right before him were still there, but they're not listed. What about Mauck, didn't he get picked up? Just curious.
