Les Miles = scared to death!!!
He freaked out at halftime and started dreaming about the seconds ticking off the clock. I think he was scared to lose. You can not be a champion unless you are willing to fall on your face. You have to be aggressive with play calling (offense and defense) the whole game not just the first half and sometimes that takes courage. I remember a point in Saban's career at LSU when he said we are going to play the same style of football for 4 quarters no matter what the score is. That was a turning point for Saban's team. Maybe this is a turning point for miles. I just hope he turns in the right direction.

    I still believe!!!!! :geauxtige

    Well put.

I think Tiger Stadium intimidated him some. He knew the team was lucky to be ahead by 21 at half & was hoping he could hang his hat on that in the second half. By trying to not lose, he managed to not win. Coaches learn from all of their experiences and I don't doubt this is no different. I think this is a wrong that can be corrected.

But the truth is, Miles & company going conservative in the second half is far from the thing that scares me the most. There were alot, a whole lot, of other things in that game that need to be changed & those are things that aren't as easily adjusted.

I still believe as well, but Miles has got a lot of growing to do & we aren't going to be giving him a lot of time to do it.

    I have to agree also....

Let's face it, we have a frosh SEC coach who has only played two games in the P & G and we are already calling for his head. That's ridiculous.

I DO see some things that concern me that are rooted in basic coaching, such as poor game management and a stubborness to stick to a bad game plan or abandon a good one. Also, please don't remain slavishly devoted to that soft zone crud. Everyone on the planet knows how to attack it.

I give Les this year to grow. Anything more than 3 losses is unacceptable with this talent. To me, that's fair, but I (as a fan) had better see some progress in the next few games.

Trying to be patient P & G regards......
