terry, as much as i respect your posts and knowledge don't come to our boards and tell us how to think or post - i have been told this by bayoutider and a few others - you should practice what tidefans.com preaches.
Geaux away, you are wasting your time here! We don't care about TT's gambling problem. Unreal lately, Alabama gets a new coach and some of their fans come over here and try and tell us how we should act. Hey, did you watch your Bama basketball team today? That shows me we have a shot at beating your team on Tuesday!
Actually, Jimbo and his brother are going hunting on Sunday. He gave some indications that he may make his decision before going on the Sunday hunting trip.
Terry, this is a Tiger forum. Some LSU fans don't like your coach. I have an OU friend that doesn't like Miles. But I am not gonna argue with him because he is entitled to his opinion. Kinda like I sure as heck don't like Bob Stoops! We respecfully agree to disagree and don't nag each other about it. To most around here, you are either a Tiger, or you're Tiger Bait. Your coach is not a Tiger.
Normally, I am not one to defend Terry, but his response was to Proud Tiger who is an Auburn fan. So the Tuberville reference was aimed at him, not at LSU fans. I suspect things will get pretty snippy here in Montgomery for the next few months. AMAB fans want the season to start now and Auburn fans are trying to convince people they aren't afraid of Saban. It will be fun to watch from my postion, where my favorite Tigers will have ended the year ranked #2. OBTW, I have no idea where Jimbo will end up, but I wouldn't mind having him back. GEAUX TIGERS
Actually $aban officially changed his spelling as of today. Amazing what $32 million can do for you. $aban $aban$aban$ban$aban. :hihi:
Woulf it be sacrilege to say maybe Jimbo should take another job? I think he is a great coach, he's done a great job for us and he stayed when Miles came on, so we know he is a stand up guy. He's probably also the reason RP signed. But, What's this..the thrid, fourth, fifth time JF has looked elsewhere? Part of me wants him to stay, but another part of me wants to him to leave to we can get another quality OC and get him established before the pickings become too slim.
No, I don't think it's sacrilege. I agree with you, when a person looks for a new job seemingly every year, then one has to wonder: "if you don't like it here, why are you staying?" Now, I know he's been interviewing for head coaching jobs--and I don't hold him in bad light for that. But when you're already one of college football's highest paid coordinators, why is he interviewing for the NC State, Florida State and 'Bama coordinator jobs?? :dis: I'm more worried about losing Pelini than Jimbo. I just strongly feel that its harder to find a good defensive coordinator than it is a good offensive coordinator.
But this is an LSU board. If you want to talk Bama/Auburn crap take to one of those boards. No one wants to hear that $h!t here.
