The Arkansas Democrat Gazette is reporting Monk suffered a bone bruise.

Nothing too bad to worry about. Arkansas could have Chad Jackson, Marvin Harrison AND Terrell Owens as their receivers and STILL not having a passing game.

THe Hogs' QB situation is terrible.

And what you said is very true, their QBs and their P/K suck BIG TIME. I guess they should just let DMAC play QB full time.

Actually, look for Casey Dick to have a decent season. Not world-beating by any stretch, but decent. If you look past that horrible game he had against LSU, Dick was actually reasonably effective the rest of the season in a limited role.

Damn, Monk is an good one. How long does a bone bruise keep you out?

Like I said in an earlier post w/ almost 3 weeks until there first game and they aren't expecting him to play everything sounds like more than a bone bruise to me and they are just trying to downplay the situation.

I'm not sure, but a bruise makes the knee more vulnerable to other, more serious injury if an athlete goes back full-speed too soon. The week before I ripped my ACL away from the bone, I had a really bad knee bruise. In retrospect, I probably should've laid off for a while.

With time and TLC, he'll probably be just fine.
