Unfortunately, Maddon will get eaten up by the media for his handling of the bullpen tonight if they lose.
why is that unfortunate? if he gets all the credit when they win, he needs to get it if they lose, too.

Rays just need to hang on, Masterson probably pitches just 1 more inning....then it's onto Timlin I guess. Red Sox went with another catcher in the ALCS rather than a 6th bullpen guy. May come back to hurt them. Other possibles, Byrd, Lopez, or even Lester.
great play + bad throw = winnign run on 2nd. and I might add, Maddon's walking Bay to face a guy who is 4-7 against his pitcher.
well in hindsight, Howell wasn't much better. total failure for the ISL-proclaimed best bullpen in baseball.
