paducah, we don't agree on much but I couldn't agree with you more on this thread. He is a little crazy and makes head scratching decisions but he cares about this team and this university. I'll take your line one step further, "There isn't a better man out there and there is a better coach out there for this team." I'll take a better man and a slightly lesser coach than a better coach and a hard to deal with man like NS.

That doesn't mean I won't complain about CLM from time to time but we need stability and I'm hopefully glad he is staying.

It's kind of like a girlfriend you have in college. If you were lukewarm on her as a companion but she was committed to you the spark fades...but if she decides to be lukewarm on you all of a sudden there is something that makes you want her more than you did before. It happen with me and the mrs. that way 14 years ago. We are happily married today.

Let's hope this can be a long term marriage for CLM and LSU because I don't think there is a better man out there.

I wonder if the agents that sold Spurrier & Saban houses in Baton Rouge get to keep the commissions?

Miles has a press conference scheduled at 12:45 per cbs.

Should be covered during Halftime of Army/Navy.

Michigan paper now reporting he is staying @ LSU:

    http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2007/12/miles_staying_at_lsu.html

Sources close to both Les Miles and the LSU administration report the coach has reached a multi-year contract extension with his current school and will remove himself from consideration as the next Michigan coach.

A 1:45 p.m. press conference has been scheduled by LSU prior to today's Southeastern Conference title game between the Tigers and Tennessee to announce the new deal and its terms.

LSU will reportedly make Miles one of the highest-paid coaches in the country.

Earlier in the day, ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit reported Miles has agreed to become Michigan's next coach and will be introduced at a press conference next week. Herbstreit also said that Georgia Tech defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta would accept the same position on Miles' staff at Michigan.

But LSU and its coach were already putting the finishing touches on a deal to keep him in the SEC.

    Herbie you suck !!!!
