those schools might be "better", but which school is cooler...point, set, and match! DYK...LSU has the largest collection of bird DNA
Peta - Those people are way out there. Whacos. Tell peta to go into the woods, smoke their dope, listen to the dead and STFU
Mike V had more stripes than Mike IV --at least that's what it looked like--especially around the shoulders. Yeah, I would agree that Mike V was probably the best looking one (then again, I've only seen Mike IV and V in person...but I only imagine that Mike III (?) was more menacing!--at least judging by the published pictures of him). Mike V looked, for lack of a better word, more "hairy" than Mike IV. I read where LSU said they were searching for a "pure bred bengal tiger"??? Is that correct? Did I read that somewhere--maybe here? I know there are many breeds of tigers...but color me ignorant--I thought Mike V WAS a pure bred bengal tiger???
Rumor has it(from my cousin in the Vet school), they are actually looking for two tigers to get. The new habbitat was built to house 2 tigers. On a sad note, even if they have one(or two) new tigers, they will not be introduced to the crowd for at least a year according to my cousin. They have to learn how to socialize with people (and each other possibly), get used to being around lots of people before they truly start with all the parading around. They actually had Mike V at least a year before they ever introduced him as the official mascot. The difference was we still had Mike IV serving until then. This time, we are not so fortunate.
He was only 4 months old when he was introduced at the LSU/Bama basketball game. At 6 months old, he took over for Mike IV.
