Why is it a rule that USC and OU can't be moved down because they haven't lost, but Cal can be moved down in favor of Texas even though Cal won?

Answer: Texas received six third-place votes and one second place vote! No reasonable person could even remotely consider Texas to be the #2 team in the country

The Big 12 is looking out for it's own financial interests at the expense of others. Block-voting by coaches in the Big 12 insured Texas a BCS spot, a difference of more than $14 Million, of which a portion is split within the Big 12. Is it any surprise that BCS chairman is also the Commisioner of the Big12?

Big 12 coaches dishonor the game by showing a lack of integrity. It's one of the key reasons I've never been able to develop a love for professional football in the same way I have for CFB.

I have to agree with cadillacattack. Texas is in no way should be voted in the top three. Now with that being said did Cal recieve any top three votes

I didn't read any such "proof." But assuming the poster is correct, using the same logic/formula, then Auburn would be in the Orange :yelwink2:

How did you not see proof? The guy removed all of Texas' #2 and #3 votes and changed Cal's #7 and #8 votes and moved them to 4th place votes.

After all of that, Texas still ended up ahead of Cal by a pretty good margin.

Also, according to this article, it seems that Bob Stoops was rating Texas either #2 or #3. And Mack Brown apparently did not give the 2nd place vote.

Do you have a link? Or was it on a talk show? Mike Stoops should be stripped of his voting for sure!

Here's a solution, if you're ranked in the top 25, you don't vote. I know there's still going to be both "friendly" and "family" biased votes, but it cuts outs the top teams voting in a manner that only benefits themselves.
