    Let's talk Mediocrity.
Everyone knows about LSU's "tough" schedule. Having to play Auburn, Florida, Tennesee, and Arkansas. But what about the rest of the schedule?
Hmmmm..... How many of those other teams finished above .500? How many or which one?

Yes, everybody knows about ND's cupcake schedule with the military. But, how many teams on ND's schedule finished above .500?

What about bowl bids? Both teams have equal numbers of bowl bound teams on the schedule. However, one of LSU's bowl bound teams is Bama, who at 6-6 for the year gets to go to a bowl game b/c if you fort correctly in the SEC they'll send you to a bowl game!

This ought to get you going Nutriaitch!!!
I'll check back on this tomorrow. Gotta go get a limit of ducks!

The Irish played only 2 top 25 teams, albeit both top 10 teams. The Tigers played at least 4, and all on the road. We split 2-2 with those teams, and the Irish went 0-2. The thing about their schedule that catches my eye, though, is that between the 2 top 25 games that they played, they didn't have a single team on their schedule that LSU wouldn't have been favored against by 20+ points. We're talking Stanford, Navy, Army, Air Force, N. Carolina, Purdue, UCLA, and Michigan St., who completely GAVE the game away. UCLA should have beaten them, they struggled with North Carolina and Purdue as well. The main thing is, they basically got 8 weeks where they could rest in the middle of the season. You think not? I guarantee LSU would have rested with that schedule. LSU rested people in the OOC games, as well as MSU and Kentucky.

To say that in the SEC that if you "fort" correctly, they'll send you to a bowl game, is simply hypocritical coming from a ND fan. Apparently if ND "forts" correctly, they go to the BCS and open the year in the top 5, regardless of how good they really are.

BTW, hope you had a nice hunt!(No kidding, I do hope you had a nice hunt)

You mean like getting manhandled everytime you play a ranked team?

Got news for ya, bud. No team in CFB history has ever had to play top-10 teams on the road in one season.

[I'm gonna envoke Cowherd, here.] What's the matter, Irish? Did the Coast Guard not have an open date? Was the Salvation Army too busy for a game with you? How about the Merchant Marines?[/Cowherd]

When the Irish grow a pair and join a conference, then come and talk to us. Until then, enjoy the preferential treatment you get from beating the nobody's of CFB.:thumb:
