I was lurking on a Bama board and saw a reference to a thread over at www.tigerdroppings.com that was discussed a rumor about Marcus Randall being hurt and perhaps not playing this weekend. Have any of you LSU folks who still live in state heard anything about this?

HAS to be BS..... Must've been hurting real bad with the 60 yd heave saturday afternoon. And you can bet he does not get hit in practice. I conclude that "Randall" is Gay not Marcus. If it is however, oooohhhhhh shit!!
I saw that theory about the "Randall" name confusion and thought it was a likely scenario. I would think it would be impossible to keep secret with such a big game coming up, yet it's apparently not emblazoned across the sports page of the Louisiana newspapers.
It's not impossible at all to keep injuries secret. Coach Franchione does not release injury reports or status of players unless it is season ending.
