Major scheduling announcement?
  1. What's up with the Lady Tigers making a "major scheduling announcement"? Anybody have a clue what it's about...or who it involves?
  2. it is announcing we are playing La Tech in the N.O. Arena next year
  3. I think the announcement has to more with the proceeds from the game going to katrina relief than it has to with playing La tech

  5. A little of both, really. They want the Katrina Relief aspect to be a 5-year series against nationally ranked opponents, that will attract a big TV deal. As for Tech, its the first time they'll play in the regular season since 1990.

  7. Let's be fair. I view women's basketball to be more interesting and important than several other events going on right now:

    World Cup Soccer
    Professional golf
    Recently completed Stanley Cup finals
    Horse racing
  8. id agree. WC being the best of those three because i actually watch it. the other three dont even get a split second of my viewing when channel surfin.
  9. I felt a tinge of disappointment when the US went out without a W in the World Cup (soccer, right?).
