IDIOTS!!! That is all I can say. The Dorsey comments were the most idiotic. You can tell neither one of them has every played a down a football in their lives. If they had they would know the pride and work put in to the season and the sacrifices made for your team. GEEZ!!!
Yeah and 2 minutes after he said it he comes back and says every player plays hurt. So which one is it doofus.......play hurt or not play hurt? Guy is like McCarver and baseball....he makes these bold pronouncements and then looks like a retard a few minutes later. If CBS can't find anyone to replace Blackledge other than Danielson, it's a shame. Id' rather watch the Lincoln Financial crew and they are BAD as well.
The solution is . . . to listen to the LSU radio network and mute the TV. The problem is . . . the 4-8 second delay that DirecTV is behind the radio feed. It makes it imposible to watch the TV hearing the play early. What I need is a digital radio that has a selectable delay, so I can sync it with the TV.
That is why I don't listen to the radio broadcast. I remember someone asking why the broadcast isn't synced with TV, and the answer was that they sync it for the fans in the stadium watching live. Maybe for home games, but for away games too? Seems like a run around answer.
It takes longer to process and broadcast a video signal... has to relay through a satellite, and with digital cable and directtv, it has to be converted to a digital signal (analog is usually ahead of digital)... Radio simply has to be picked up through the air... alot quicker...
As much as I've learned to loathe Keith for his recent PAC-10 homer ways, I did miss hearing him call LSU-BAMA. He was a fixture at that game every year on ABC in the 70's. I was a bit nostalgic. for the good ole days. Then I remembered that we lost to the Bear every season back then. It just makes me appreciate the Golden Age of LSU Football (RIGHT NOW)!
I feel the same as you guys. Have any of you tried to lodge a complaint with CBS? Are you willing to try to find an email address that might (or does) go to some of the big shots who make broadcasting decisions? Are you willing to post the address on the forum so that we can flood it with compaints about these losers. Yeah.....I agree that it sounds as if they're anti-LSU, and it ain't fair. Hell, after Dorsey got chop blocked, I found emails to some "higher ups" with the NCAA and asked these guys if they were going to do anything about it. I included the video as proof. Perhaps they laughed at me and deleted my email, but at least I voiced my opinion instead of whining about it.
Why not? The radio is about 5 seconds ahead of the TV and I do it. They don't have to be sycronized unless you just don't like it.
