Why is Pokey still listed as the head coach of the women's basketball team? Bob Starkey is listed as the acting head coach, but Pokey is still pictured as the head coach and her bio is still there. Also I saw her website www.coachpokey.com and there is no reference to her leaving LSU. It's like nothing ever happened and things are still normal. Wow!
Just guessing... CoachPokey.com probably isn't an official web-site of LSU. At least, considering it is powered by a different company, I'd suspect that's the case. With most University's, the offical web-sites are maintained by students (work-study, GA's, etc.) It's probably an assignment on someone's "to do list," but hasn't been done as of yet.
If it's an official website by lSU, then there would be a notation at the bottom. Look at www.glenbigbaby.com and you'll see an example.
nope, the idiots at lsusports.net have not updated the web site. if you click on the link for womens basketball, and then on the link for coaches, she is listed as the head coach with all the others that are listed as assistants. but, that's not a surprise. when it comes to the geaux zone they f up all the time.
It's not like this is the football coaching list. They update that one right away. that one is important.
pokey IS still the head coach. Her resignation isn't official until the tourny is over.. If we win it all this season, Pokey will be able to claim that she was the coach of a national championship team.
