It was actually North Carolina, thanks in large part to the hip-hop crowd.

The one I'm REALLY surprised about is Ohio St. at number 2....... that doesn't make any sense to me....

Oh, you have a problem with number 8 ... remember Ole' #8

The Ole' #8 (OU NC trophy you were talkin' up last year) you had in the bag on January 4, 2004 ...

What was that prediction ... OU 47 (snicking whilst I type) ... LSU 10 or whatever ...

That #8 is a real ballbuster

I think one of the reasons for the Texas apparel is the amount of LSU students from Austin. I know 7 or 8 current LSU students that went to my high school and grew up Texas fans. For some reason, a lot of people here love LSU.

And I think the basketball school was UNC. If we're thinking of the same survey, UNC was #1 and Texas was #2.

    #8 and #10 must be typo's!
Wisconsin has to be the most boring football team to watch. I don't know why, but I'd rather watch a USL game.

LSU was a regular in the top-10 from the late 1950s to the late 1980's. LSU was a perenial top-10 team in the Charlie Mac era, a coach that is highly respected around the country. People remember.

LSU also has a style that people remember: The Chinese Bandits, the Tiger Stadium noise, The Golden Band from Tigerland, the tailgaiting food, the white jerseys, etc.

Bama's popularity has gone down a lot over the years... They have very little that is competitive (consistantly) anymore.
