That article was on www.collegefootballnews.com some time ago, and it's very good, save for how they believe that Greene and his troops will somehow usurp the Tigahs this year...
Southlink, I've always enjoyed your posts but am suprised at the attitude towards cfn. I always thought they had some of the most objective analysis out there. Certainly closer to the mark week in and week out than most other so called experts out there. If you have a more accurate source please let me know, I could use some walkin' around money during football season!
Go read their predictions the last two years....that should be comedy enough. It's not that they were wrong....but how far off is what strikes me as weird. USC goes 11-1 in 2002 and wins the SEC? Thats just one off the top of my head.
I didn't find that article all that great. It didn't really give any explanation on why Georgia would win. Basically all it seemed to say was that if Georgia scored more points than us in that game that they would win. Just back up the claim with something more than Matt Mauck leaving.
A lot of people are going to be verrrrrry surprised by the skills and savvy of our 5th year senior QB.
Hummmm I wanted to see what CFN had said about LSU in particular over the past couple of years. For the most part they have veen right on the money..... In 2002: As we know LSU got off to a good start and then Mauck got hurt. Toefield did as well I believe. The aforementioned rash of injuries happened, and it affected the team. LSU just barely missed playing for their second straight SEC championship. Had they not had the injuries things may have been much better and LSU has a chance to defend its title. In 2003: The line play was indeed outstanding on both sides of the ball and the receivers lived up to their potential as well. Best of all, LSU did indeed win the SEC again. :geaux: :champs: I'd say as far as LSU is concerned, CFN has been fairly accurate. Dunno about other teams. I have my LSU blinders on and don't care much about them except on game day. :tigerhead
If Randall wins the SEC (West wouldnt surprise me) for LSU, I will have a lot of crow to eat with friends and family of mine.
What will happen: It'll be a shock if there are any offensive fireworks. South Carolina has had a few extra days to prepare and should be rocking at home. Is LSU good enough to get over the loss to Florida? Yes, but the Gamecocks will pull off the upset. CFN Prediction: South Carolina 16 ... LSU 13 Final Score: LSU 33 ... South Carolina 7 Reading that...I have to agree that CFN has no clue what they are talking about.
