1. Does anyone know when the contract with 98.1/ LSU sports network is up? I remember when it was on 1150 WJBO and I think it would neat for nostalgia purposes if it would end up on there again. Anyone have any info?
  2. yeah.. lets put it on an AM station so a whole 12 people can catch it.. most new cars today don't pick up AM that well...
  3. Thats not true. The cars have nothing to do with AM reception. In fact, you pick up AM better in cars. Its all about where the tower is. Plus, JBO is a powerful AM station.
  4. WJBO was horrible. The last couple of years before 98.1 got it I was living in E. Feliciana and could not even pick up the games.
  5. I guess it really doesnt matter b/c its all about the money. If JBO was to put up more money it would be on there again. But, the question was does anyone know when the contract is done. Personally, I think that sports sounds better on AM. I guess that comes from growing up on it.
  6. 98.1 reaches waaaaaaay further than WJBO...
  7. Again, I know that, I just wanna know when the contract is up. lol
  8. Don't know when the contract is up. I thought it was just renewed. But please no whistling am radio. Beides my MP3 that I bring in only catches fm.
  9. That's like saying let's go back to the Curley Hallman days for nastalgia purposes. Thanks but no thanks, nothing against WJBO but the move to FM and 98.1 has been a big improvement in my opinion. It's nice to be able to pick up the games on your headset instead of static.
  10. Thast a good point. But, I have a hard time on occation getting 98.1 in the stadim some times. My love for AM though is that I just like the sound of it better. When its not static of course.
