I'll take Scott's production against crappy teams versus Broussard's or Vincent's production against crappy teams. He's better than them when we play no-bodies...

Scott looked pretty darn good tonight. Vincent couldn't get any rushing done tonight, when they moved to Scott I was happy and wasn't let down at all by his performance.

Adrian Peterson had a pretty good freshman year, and Stoops played his hoss.

Running back is the most intuitive spot on the field, and freshman can contribute quickly there.

I like the old Saban system. Put the kids in. If they PRODUCE, they earn more carries per game. When they get their chance, if they don't produce, they get less carries per game. It's a yards per carry thing, not a personality or seniority thing.

You could say Scott got his yards in garbage time, but give him a shot. If he can't produce against the starters in the first half, his yards per carry will go down, and he will get less carries per game.

"The old Saban System"?? The one where every person in the stadium knew Domanick Davis was a better running back than LaBrandon Toefied, yet Saban kept starting Toefield?

The same old Saban System that in 2003, never would have heard the names Justin Vincent or Alley Broussard until Joe Addai, who was having a terrible year that year, got injured against Florida??

It took Saban until game #7 to give Vincent a legit shot, and he rushed for 1,001 yards in the final 7 games.

You have the Saban Seniority thing backwards. Miles does not cling to that like Saban did. Many players from the 2006 signing class have already seen some playing time.
