I know Dandy Don is a sunshine pumper, but our recruting alooks good all around.

In other recruiting news, the early signing period for all sports except football starts in less than two week. I learned Wednesday that LSU's men and women track and field teams are having a banner recruiting class. I was told that Coach Dennis Sharver received commitments from two of the nation's top-five women track and field stars Tuesday. One of the girls is from California and the other girl is from Arizona, according to my information. I have also learned that LSU Lady Tigers Coach Pokey Chatman has picked up two huge commitments. One of the commitments is Latear Eason, a 5' 9" all-state guard from Chicago who led the Eagles to 27 consecutive girls basketball victories last season. Eason averaged 19.3 points per game as a junior. John Brady is expected to sign four players in the early signing period and will most likely have a top five class.

I have to agree. With 10-12 schollys left we are already a top ten class. Now if we can just pull in Chad Jones and McKnight, that would probably make us a top 5 class. And then if we are lucky enough to get Tolliver - WOW!

I was very surprised to see that DD claims we will have a top 5 recruiting class in men's bb. I can't say that I actually believe that but anywhere in the top 20 or so in my mind is a victory.

I agree. With basketball, rankings are not that important when it you look at it year to year. A lot of years teams only have 1 or 2 schollies to give, so that messes up the rankings.
