1. A common thing said by college football fans is that post-season success by fellow conference teams helps their own team. Is this any truth to this? Is it a mere cliche?

Just wondering what some of you think. I see many people saying that if Auburn wins the NC this year, it helps LSU. Here is a question.... How did LSU winning the NC last year help Auburn?
  2. You could say that it brings more national attention to the SEC, thereby increasing out of south recruiting. I just stay middle of the road...
  3. I think in the overall scheme of things, it helps.
  4. It helps remind those fools where big-time football is played. Not on the east or west coast.
  5. So far the championship that LSU won last year has'nt helped Auburn at all.
  6. Being ranked preseason #18 due to a piss poor season the year before has a lot more to do with it than anything else.

That's why the way LSU ends this season may have all to do with any chance at an NC next year.
