This is my first post so go easy on me. If you had of told me a year ago, I'd be hanging on the edge of my seat, waiting for the College NC game, I would have said "you're dreaming." I've been watching NFL since the late seventies and love the American game. (My Australian game comes first though) Being Australian, my main fascination was with the punting game. I could watch an entire game and say "I could do better than that!", for every punt in a game. As more and more Australians entered the punting ranks, I would follow their progress, waiting to see them break records. (None yet) The likes of Bennett, Graham, McBriar, Rocca have done well. A few months back someone mentioned on Melbourne radio the name Brad Wing. So, week by week I'd check his progress. That week by week "check" has developed a week by week obsession with the whole LSU Team and coach. A year ago I had never seen a College football game, and had no idea about what it was, (like most Australians) Now, I know why the Honey badger is called the Honey Badger, who the Mad Hatter is, I get goose pimples when Claibourne is near the ball, I've developed a loathing of bama fans, I listened to every game on LSU.sports, and follow bwing on twitter prayin for a RT. I got LSU fever!!!:angryfire Thanks for having me on board, and forgive me in advance for talkin on and on and on about punting techniques and what secrets Wing will have up his sleave. (Hint "the Boomerang")
Welcome. We love Brad Wing also although I think he is Tigerchick's man. He is a great player and we love to have him as part of the team. Geaux Tigers!
Thanks Folks! I forgot to say, Brad Wing made National Australian news today, about his cult status. Will try to find a channel 9 link.
What is a cult status and a boomerang? Is that aussie talk. I love the accent you guys have I am just not following.
Ok, lets hope this link works. Brad Wing on Australian 6 p.m National News.Young Aussie punter wings it in US
Best first post ever. Welcome. There is always more room on the Tiger express. Needless to say, many Americans have caught Wing fever as well. And that's saying a lot for a punter. The funny thing is, his predecessor was a bad ass as well. I was bummed out when thinking Josh Jasper wasn't going to be playing this year. He was one of the best fake punters in the game. Needless to say, Brad Wing has helped soften that loss. Here's to turning the entire great country of Australia into Tiger fans.
