Anyone know a good spot to hang out with some LSU fans and watch the game? In San Diego, we had a great place to watch all the SEC stuff.
I live in Bham.... A great spot is On Tap Sports Cafe; it is on the corner of Hwy 280 and Valleydale road next to Bruno's. Great Wings I might add. Another good spot is Buffalo Wild Wings, next to the wal mart on Hwy 150, a few miles from the Galleria. Of course, you've got Wings, its in the new shopping center behind the galleria.
man, I am really not a fan. I actually live in Bham and own a gym in Anniston. I have to basically shut down when the race is here. Most business owners in Anniston love the races, I hate it. I have to cancel all my clases for the weekend and I have no retail junk to sell the fans. I went once and was really not that impressed with the scene or the driving. I do go to Barber's as often as I can. I get the Paddock passes from mu fiance's work and we love it.
I live in Fultondale. My wife and I go to Crazy Cajuns and eat alot. It is on 280 at 19. They only have 2 TV's but the atmosphere is great. I will probably be at the house since I have kids and I will be watching over them. Crazy Cajuns fried green tomatoes are awesome with bits of crab on top of them.
There really isnt a "place" so to speak for LSU fans here in Bham. I've tried a few times in the past to get a group to gather at different sports bars and we only had limited success and I gave up.
drc I would go alot more but money and kids hold me back. Freddy I graduated from JSU and lived near Anniston. Is Jeffersons still in Jacksonville?
There is a great place to watch this week's Kentucky-LSU game. WorkPlay is hosting College Football Saturdays to show the CBS SEC Game of the Week in the intimacy of the Theatre on a 25 foot hi def movie screen with state of the art sound. We kicked off last week with FLA-LSU and had more than 100 LSU fans including the LSU Alumni Cub. The Theatre is converted into a stadium complete with astrturf and goal posts and is free admission. Food is onsale provided by OTs sports grill. This week it will be a total Bayou atmosphere with Cowboy Mouth playing in the Theatre later that night after the game. The place will be packed with LSU fans and it is the most unique place to watch the game. Game starts at 2:30, pregame at 2:00. Cowboy Mouth is at 9:00. Bringing the Bayou to Birmingham.
