will be a good team this year. I like the up tempo style. Hudson and Mitchell will give us 3 pointers. Tack will get better and better , especially with the transition game. We will also have a force inside with Bass and Big Baby. Neltner looks to have improved a lot. Team has good quickness and should play good defense. Only matchup problem I see is against a big good center and there aren't a whole lot of them out there. If Brady can keep his cool and we stay healthy, it should be a good year. Unless you have unrealistic expectations.
Aslong as they dont turn the ball over as much as they did im the first half they will be fine....I was real impressed with there defense in that second half and even though Big baby only had 3 or 4 points he had 13 rebounds....pretty impressive for a freshman.
Anybody have a feel for our starting 5? I am assuming it starts with Bass and Big Baby (making like Sherwin and Williams owning the paint).
I believe one was Ricky Blanton. The other guy sounds familiar. I recognize his voice for LSU football. In what you can take from two games, I have seen some progression from all the returning players with the exception of Regis.
His name was Lynn Rollins or something like that i have heard his voice before during a lsu baseball game i think......?
Lynn Rollins did the Spring game.....I got a tape of it from my sister, that's how I know. Is that where you heard his voice before? It was the only time I have ever seen of Lyn Rollins before or since.
yeah, except he said during the game "he's hotter than a fire ant on a fever blister"....ha, what the hell is that?
I guess he's experiened such a thing. Sounds painful. Not necessarily hot. But I guess if you combine fire and fever, you got hot hot hot.
I have to agree with you Tigerskin this team has the chance to make noise. There are a few things that Brady changed that I have really been impressed with: First having our point guard their point full court can make such a big difference in half court defense by delaying their setup time. second would be having Neltner play at the top of the key in the offense this does a couple of things it creates space for bass or baby and allows Neltner who is quite a good passer to get the ball down to them on reverses because bass is excellent at posting a guy up. third would be brady's attitude(so far) this allows for our guys to be more comfortable making mistakes. I had a coach in high school who was much like Bobby Knight he yelled about every little mistake and I was always looking over my shoulder waiting to be subed for any little mistake. Tack is the key to our success this year the more he improves the better chance we have a winning the SEC and making a run in the NCAAs
