LSU #1 Okla #2 USC #3 He also went on to say that LSU has no flaws, Oklahoma has no run game, and said USC just hasn't played anyone. GEAUX TIGERS!:helmet::helmet::crystal::crystal::helmet::helmet::helmet::tigerhead:tigerhead:helmet::helmet:
it completely floored me when holtz said that. espn (esp holtz) is always so anti-lsu. what gives? are they afraid lsu is good enough that if they don't acknowledge it, they will look like complete biased idiots to the rest of the country (more than they already do)? tigerdro :helmet:
If I remember right: 2 had LSU #1 (Chris Fowler and Lou Holz). Herbstreit had USC, LSU, OU. Corso had OU, LSU, USC. Actually, he may have only picked OU #1 and not commented on the others. The good news is that LSU will be gaining votes and is gaining attention once again. The bad news is that USC once again sits at the top without having done jack ****. One or two of the guys pointed this out, Fowler in particular. I do agree that we are probably back to the three-headed monster of LSU/OU/USC and who is #1. At any rate, it doesn't matter as there is far too much football yet to be played to worry about it right now.
exactly. a lot can happen in the next several weeks. lets not count our chickens before they hatch. or put the cart before the horse. or any other cliche you want to use.
way, way, way,to much football left to be played. We have SC coming in after an impressive win over Ga. and many pitfalls left. But if the team stays focused and plays one game at a time................ Look out!!!!!!!!!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!
I want LSU to be #1 @ the end of the season. Could care less what Lou Holtz has to say about us or anything else. Nothing but a naysayer and now apparently a bandwagoner. Hop on in Lou, don't spit when you say LSU !
I think he rarely provides a valid reason or knows what he's talking about, so his praise is neither here nor there. But this goes to show that maybe he can hit the water when he falls out a boat.
I'm cool with LSU remaining #2. However, if we get to #1 before the end of the regular season I have confidence this team is focused enough to ignore it. One game at a time, each player winning his individual battle each week and we win. :geauxtige
