1. Did you here him at halftime talking about "Jamay'cus Russell". The guy is very anti SEC. Maybe it was because they all whooped his arse.
  2. He has hated LSU ever since we passed on him as a head coach.
  3. he's still bitter at the south for the whole civil war thing
  4. You would think that someone with his means could afford a set of dentures that fit. Just an observation.
  5. :geauxtige I hope he geauxs agianst LSU I dont want him picking on our side.. he makes me crazy ... didnt he cheet everywhere he went....

    LSU! LSU! LSU!
  6. Dear Fans,

Before my prediction, let us address the poster's issue. Lou Holts is an Old-School coach, and the Old School has never respected the SEC; there remains prejudice based on decades of insitutional prejudice (since the media is not from the South) and in no small part because of the Civil War in an indirect way. This mindset remains with us today. Consider the 4-step advantage of Florida in the polls and where the dispassionate oddsmakers rank LSU: a 2-point favorite.

The major media’s pollsters are not located in the South but in New York, Washington, and California. They have no affection for the South. It continually portrays the South as ignorant, uncultured, and untrustworthy. This situation is possible because it has unfetterred power, and power corrupts. The evidence of power is tens of millions of viewers tune in (unwisely) every evening to watch CBS, NBC, and ABC rather than all the cable networks combined. So on to my prediction.

I do not know whether the oddsmakers are "shading" the points to favor the hot team, LSU, that is, JaMarcus Russell--Oh yes, it is the oddsmaker's job to know him well. Shading is adding points to the hot team to lure suckers into betting on the hot team. And JaMarcus is hot. Forget the oddsmakers and pollsters. You can forget them because you know LSU much better than they do. You know because of blogs like this and your attention to the games.

So, my prediction. LSU will demolish Florida in the first half (but, as a minor possibility, in the second half). LSU's offense will put 31-45 points on the board as it did against Miami last year. LSU is the real thing. It can (if polling prejudice is thrown away) be in the national title game with Ohio State. It has a great defense and offense. And LSU is unperturbed with playing away against anyone. The Auburn game is conclusive proof of this. Florida could manage 13-21 points.
  7. the same lou holtz that said in his introduction speech at south carolina that they were gonna win the national championship?
  8. That's pretty deep... and I don't like Holtz either...
  9. Lou's expert analysis thios morniong: LSU has the best defense b/c they cant rush the ball.
  10. yeah I heard him say that on sportscenter....I really think he shouldnt be allowed to talk anymore.
