Oops, changed my mind about the Mayor.

" Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake admitted in a press conference on Sunday: that she asked the Baltimore Police Department to “give those who wished to destroy, space to do that.”

I understand this is an actual tactic but I don't understand it. Anyone?

Again, fighting the system has been a staple of this country forever, maybe for you its the people who are doing it, I dont know. This country was founded on protest, we fought a few wars over it. The Boston Tea Party wasnt a social event, they destroyed property. If a people dont feel like the system is working for them, as the founders felt like the system wasnt working for them, they protested. I dont condone the violence, but everyone is not being violent and those who are not violent have the right to protest and feel like the system is not working for them.
Who said I took the side that cops are targeting black people, I gave you example of how people are feeling, as you do all the time, dont put words in my mouth.
you are not dealing with the issue, you are feeding me the same line that most people who are really on the bad end of the issue give.

Makes no sense. I understand police backing off a high speed chase, but anyone destroying public property or looting in my opinion gets what's coming to them.

I wasn't saying you picked a side. It was a general statement to looters.

My point is that this is a racial issue. That's just a fact and unfortunately, it falls on the shoulders of peaceful protesters and community leaders to stand up to this.

Black people in positions of power need to do more to stop this.

I don't deny the past transgressions towards blacks, however that does not mean we need war in the streets.

I agree 100%, no way im i defending any violence because frankly, people associate this with all black people and that pisses me off.

I understand and I apologize for that. It's hard to separate these situations that get taken over by the mob.
