    Today is the anniversary of the day Anne Sullivan began teaching sign language to 6-year old Helen Keller (1887). LKF: For several years in the 1920's, Sullivan and Keller toured together on the vaudeville circuit, performing a skit they created to raise awareness for the handicapped.
