I'd be very pleased if that was the case.

Oh, and no "I can be released from the contract to go to Michigan" bullsh*t, either. :angryfire

Man guys, I'm telling you again, if you guys are good to Les, he'll be better to you. He is not as set on the Michigan thing as everyone thinks. He just wanted to be head coach a top tier school with a chance to compete for NCs every year. He has that with you guys. He will retire there as long as the occasional 9-2 season doesn't get him burned at the stake.

The buyout is Miles obligation, not LSU's. Also, Nick walked away from a $2.6 to 3 million salary and a $1.5 million annuity. Sacrifices are sometimes made in the pursuit of better opportunities.

But you have to understand something, amigo. LSU will not have to sell the farm to pay for a coach. We won't even have to sell all of this years crop! LSU football brings in about $7 million per home game.

What ever, it's a drop in hat. I just want the money to be spent on quality.

Wouldn't it be funny if OSU ended up hiring a better coach than Miles, with more creditials.

I think they will be smart about it and work out his contract to where much of his salary will be incentive based. Skip, Miles and everybody else involved knows that the new coach should be able to perform with this team and as long as Miles delivers his salary will be very nice.

It's nice to know that Miles wants to be somewhere were he can win National Championships, this is the kind of mind I want in our new coach and this leads me to believe that he will be alright with his contract being incentive based because he wants to perform.
