Miles has shown & said that he will use trick plays on occassion if he's got the athleticism to do it - which he certainly will here. I look forward to seeing what kind of schemes they can come up with all of our talent.

Miles stats from 2004 kind of worry me. That is a one heck of a bland offense. With our returning talent, we don't have to worry about that kind of offense for next year, but if we're forced to play a young qb down the road it could be painfull to watch.

Miles didn't let out very much information from the spring game. I think he's been kind of secretive on porpuse to use that as his advantage going into the season.

He'll have alot more to work with at lsu, but what do the people who watched him at OSU think?

I think (and I have read comments by Jimbo and Miles) that LSU will be so talented on Offense this year that the game plan will change from week to week. For instance if an opponents secondary is really good but their front 7 are week look for the OL and RBs to pound the ball all night. The next week if the front 7 is strong but the secondary is questionable look for Jimbo to play action and take advantage of his receivers athleticism and challenge the secondary. This is a dream scenario for an Offensive coordinator... to have the weapons to attack the weakness of the defense. It also becomes a challenge for the Defense to game plan LSU... If an offense is one dimensional then it is easy to game plan for... but with LSU this upcoming year you have to cover all of your bases. You will not shut down our run, and if you put 8 in the box our WRs will burn you. If you concentrate on the secondary and shutting down our skill guys, the OL and RBs will pound you in the mouth all day.

Just my opinion. Should be an exciting year.

Yes... I agree... I think we are talented enough to play to a team's weakness

Yeah. Miles was VERY conservative in 2004 because his "would-be" starter left the team to play pro baseball, leaving Miles and the Cowboys, with a true freshman QB....and he wasn't of the caliber QB that any of the 3 we have now are.

My prediction for this year.. LSU averaged about 30 a game and Jimbo gets a HC job next year.

I think LSU will average a lot more than 30 a game this season. We averaged 28.7 last year with a very inconsistent offense. I believe that this year we will beat the crap out of our weaker opponents and push the average way up. I also don't think anyone will holds us to 9 points this year like AU did last. I think we will average at least 35 per game this season.

It had better. If we only avg. 30 pts a game it will be a huge dissapointment with all the talent we have on offense. I can't believe we avg'd 28 last season - that's impressive with all of our inconsistencies & bland playcalling. This year should be very, very exciting.

My only worry is that Miles will be to bland once we get up on opponents & we won't continue to play the game & beat them.
