1. i don't know why JV called out Maximus...he was a big supporter i thought.....this was his post in the original thread...notice how he calls JV the best back in college football and he says that the drinking and going out isn't even the problem

  2. While I question whether that was actually JV posting that, if it was JV that posted, then he has some serious self esteem issues and is showing his immaturity.

These guys have to learn that they are under a microscope and that fans are going to say all kinds of things about them. Fans are fans. If you are so worried about what the fans think that you let it affect your college game, then you have ZERO chance of making it at the pro level, where the criticism is much worse.
  3. Exactly what I was thinking. There are a lot of players being bashed out there and you don't see them posting defending themselves for something that some stupid ass fan said.

    Good post...
  4. so fans get all the stones to throw(standing behind fake screen names no less) and the athletes can't fire one back in self defense. everyone deserves a chance to defend themselves and set the record straight. the fact that he is genuinely concerned about what people think of him shows that he is proud of his character. he hasn't stolen or beaten anyone. the guy can't go out and have a few drinks with friends without criticism. i think it's starf#$%ing posters from other sites who want to say they saw someone out and start gossip that really deserve the criticism.
  5. Justin Vincent's mom subscribes to www.tigerbait.com(penthouse board).....She's been a member for at least the last 3-4 years. She's a classy poster and ALWAYS stays out of any threads that include Justin.

Again, that's why I hate this time of year......... I would even watch preseason NFL if it was on right now.........
  6. This is an interesting thread!

I was not a Marcus Randall fan, didn't think he was great at QB, but I think Saban was right, that he was the best we had last year, all things considered. I admired his team spirit and contributions he made to LSU football, and I liked what I saw of him on a personal level. I hope he gets to play in the NFL at some position.

I don't like to flame anybody. I always assume the players read these boards. If I'm gonna criticize, I try to keep it professional. I try to be balanced and point out the good and the bad. EVERYONE can read these boards, including JV's mom.

We need to be able to criticize, without throwing the individual or the team under the bus.

"There, but for the grace of God, go I".
  7. :
    :dis:
  8. Yep. Some people hide behind the internet...

Way to go, JV! Way to stick up for yourself, buddy!!!
  9. I don't think there is any reason to question whether this is JV or not. It's under his mom's screenname.

I'm willing to bet an athlete has gotten a screenname & defended themselves but pretended to be an outsider before. Justin took it upon himself to admit who he was & defend himself. I think it took guts of him.

Athletes are critiqued - that doesn't mean there character or them as a person deseves to be critiqued. Justin is a good guy & isn't out there getting arrested. He's an athlete we can be proud of & I don't think we have to worry about him acting like a Tennessee or Gamecock athlete.
  10. He shouldn't worry about it. If people want to make it a big deal that he went out and had a couple of drinks so be it. He shouldn't let that effect him. Just my opinion.
