A lot of us, me included, have been very critical of JV since his freshman year, and with good reason. He hasn't been the same player since his AWESOME FY. But when his name was announced last night in the pre-game ceremony, I still clapped for him. He hasn't been a PROBLEM for the team even though he has been highly criticized for his lack of performance. He hasn't complained or threatened to transfer because of lack of PT either. Last night I watched him when he went out on special teams and he was out there jumpin up and down gettin the crowd in it. And he's done this all year. He is what I call a team player. He hasn't come close to living up to his potential, but he still plays hard. I have respect for him because of that. And let's remember, if it wasn't for him, we might not have our NC! Good Luck JV!

Good points. :thumb: Although JV hasn't really lived up to the billing, you nailed it emphasizing his role as a team player.

Agreed. I do believe, however, he's a very good ST player.

With being said, I think that is his future. Alot like Fred McAfee. Great teamate, smart player, not the highlight reel everyone wants but a solid ST player. And there is nothing wrong with that, cuz I think he will play on Sunday.

They're are a lot of players who would have become a cancer if they were in JV's shoes. In Justin's case he has become one of the inspirational leaders of the team.

Also, he must not ever read message boards as he appears to love the fans.

I agree, I feel for him and appreciate his contribution. That whole situation puzzles me. I regret the way his career at LSU is winding down. He is a class act and I wish him the very best. :thumb:

And you notice, that JV has stepped up when needed. He really fights for yardage, i noticed in the Tenn game he caught a pass on the sideline and he full out dove and got the 1st down, its effort like that that i really respect. He's been great for us, although he hasnt' done much the past 3 years you cannot forget that he was a VERY important part to us winning the NC. Best of luck Justin:helmet:
