1. I hope you are right on that. We looked good against State and hopefully the running game will continue to improve the rest of the year.
  2. maybe on paper, but they haven't shown it as of yet.....I expect it is coming though, as we go deeper into the season!!!
  3. Our Oline has looked dominant in 2 out of 3 games so far. Tennessee's Dline is enormous & one of the best in the country - no Oline could dominate them, but we were still able to run effectively when our passing game was there. I'd say that our Oline has proven as much right now as the one had in 03 around this point.
  4. We'll see how many yards Bama runs against Tenn. as opposed to us. Bama has a patchwork O-line too..........
  5. They also have a hell of a running back that's a bruiser better suited for that type of running, as oppossed to our Addai who's strong but not a straight north-south runner.
  6. 1. Bama's line is young but not a patchwork O-line.

    2. I disagree about Addai not being a north-south runner. he has been hitting the hole running straight ahead full speed and has been awesome IMO. And he's been getting most all of the tough yards if he has been given any crease whatsoever.

    3. Two things I've noticed about JV is that he doesn't appear to be getting much blocking on most of his runs and that on a few of the runs he has missed his hole by a couple of feet. He has hit the hole harder than he did last year though and that may be why he's missed them a few times, he knows they do not want him dancing in the backfield.
  7. JV is done, unfortunately.

Let's just be grateful he almost singlehandedly brought LSU a national title.
  8. I think it is simpler than that. Vincent is playing heavier than he was in 2003. It makes him more durable, but perhaps at the cost of his quickness.

  9. I was not questioning the quickness in which he hits the hole but more the intesity. I know it is played out but it seems you has lost the EYE of the Tiger, as Apollo Creed would say.

  10. totally agree with your first reply and was adding what you stated in your last.

JV is definitely heavier and all the reports he was quicker and in better shape the last 2 years is a lie. maybe stronger not in better shape for quickness as a running back.

justin vincent is done as a dominating RB because he will never be back to the size he was his freshman year. blame it on the white chicks and canes late night if you must.
