1st, let me say that I never have been against John Brady, and I still may not be, but Penders from Houston outcoached the heck out of us tonight...

1- Not denying Lafayette the ball; we could have put a lengthier guy defending the screen to slap at the pass

2- Not putting Tyrus on him... Like as if he could shoot with those hands in his face

3- Not taking a timeout... during the run

4- Not giving the ball to Baby on the block... How many times was he buried on the top of the key

5- Leaving in Lazare when he was playing poorly and Tyrus was playing so well

6- Not switching to a pressure defense earlier

These are just SOME of the problems

I won't disagree with any of these points. I was thinking the same thing about putting Tyrus on Lafayette too, but then I said maybe he might have trouble guarding a 2 guard because of the quickness.

Waiting too long to call a timeout is nothing new for Brady. That's one of the things that swells my nuts year to year. You saw how quick Penders called back to back timeouts in the first-half. One was after a 4-0 run.

I did not quite understand the switch to zone for only a couple of times down the floor.

He is just a redshirt freshman. He is a offensive liability right now. Defensively, he is long and has the potential to be quite good.

John Brady is not a great coach, but he's far from being "pathetic" or one of the worst coaches in the league.

I agree with most of the opinions here about what should have been done during the game.

This is a very young team & it's early in the season, I can't really fault Brady for the turnovers (unless he doesn't get them under control by SEC play). When an opposing player has a career night & a team shoots over 50% 3 pointers, it's tough to win.

Was John Brady the best coach ever for beating WVU? No. And he isn't the worst ever for lossing to a decent team.
