I'm biased, I think he is responsible for most of LSU loses in everything from his first day until today. Since I'm not objective, what's feeling out there?
Joe Dean was a disaster as Athletic Director. He didnt know a damn thing about football and i have seen it many times. BB bal people do not make good AD. They focus too much on BB and not enough on football.
I said poor, but he probably does deserve horrible. I guess I still carry a small fond feeling for his bball annoucing days. String music, anyone?

Problem with Joe was, he did an even worse job of "focusing on BB". His tenure was nothing short of a DISASTER and an EMBARASSMENT. Period, end of discussion.
An Athletic Director has two vital jobs: Make a profit and hire winning coaches. Joe Dean always made a profit, he was a good bottom-line man. But he couldn't hire a good coach. He hired affordable coaches that didn't impact the bottom line. He had his priorities backwards. Winning coaches bring in more money.
I voted horrible, and I am typically a generous person, not quick to criticize. What tranpired in the 90's was horrible! It was not just one mistake, but he followed one mistake with another, and another. Horrible.
