If you're the star running back for LSU why would you ever punch whom provides no immediate threat to you? Especially given Hill's history of trouble with the law and even making it onto campus and the football team.

It isn't the severity of the incident that is troubling, to me. The part that is alarming is that he would behave so foolishly given the status he has achieved and the promise he has of a very near million dollar future on Sundays. This isn't about whether the guy deserved this or that, but much more about the poor decision-making of Hill in my estimation.

Okay. Then just apply my previous response to another post you made after your hyperbolic post.
Regardless of whether the punch was from behind or not, Hill approached the guy from behind and blindsided a defenseless person. Pretty much a punk ass move if you ask me.
I agree, but the society we live doesn't allow us as individuals to decide who is deserving of a knuckle pocked mug and act out on it.

There was a third option in cases like this one here, where you are ganged up on. You go lick your wounds and then go get their asses one at a time...no holds barred.

It was a punk ass move. Hill didn't even drop him with a clear punch dude had no idea was being thrown at him.

No its not a fight. Its a sucker punch. Im sorry, from the side or not, its a sucker punch. The guy had no time to really know whats coming. I have no respect for Hill or his friends. Especially the punk who punch the guy from behind. Its a bitch move by both of them. Kids will be kids but thats not what LSU football should be about. I dont care how good he is, he should be off the team for good.

As for those saying its a fight. If you want to fight, be a man and go face to face or dont hit them. I know sometimes you have to fight, but there is no need for a sucker punch. Unless they jumped you or did something really bad to your family.

That was my initial feeling (still is). I know in street fighting there's a difference in beating someone to the punch and a sucker punch. That seemed like- as the kids say- a "sneak".

I also understand in a street fight there are no rules/no refs to stop but it's not like he was in a position in which he had to fight to defend himself. If he was approached, cornered, etc. then anything goes- hell, give him a crow bar. That just wasn't the case here.

If a bama kid did this I think there'd be a completely different, and unanimous, outlook.

Correct, near zero media coverage. Arent we a couple months from a Bama crime spree. Cant tell with all the Hill coverage.

This. No need to over analyze it or expect football players to be choir boys.

Again, fighting for a legit reason is one thing. Sucker punching like a bitch is a whole other story. Hill is NOT what LSU football or the school in general should be about.
