I hate to say it but this could all be on Lee. Les may be trying to save him and allow him to finish his senior season with the team. This may be appreciation for what he did for us through the first 8 games. Lee may have done or said something truly awful that only the team knows about. Maybe he through a temper tantrum when he got pulled. We don't really know. Whatever it is the team and coaches choose to keep it in house. We just have to hope whoever plays the NCG is better than what we saw in the first half.
I was dying to see JL come out in the 2nd QTR after LSU's (JJ's) 5th consecutive 3 and outs. Disappointed it didn't happen. It would not have surprised me if LSU came into the second half starting JL for a change of pace to allow a better passing QB open up the run. Then the turnover happened with Georgia's 3rd snap giving the LSU offense a short field. I suspect that changed the gameplan as CLM prob felt a JJ led offense on that side of the field stands a better chance.....And once the offense gets rolling, and the D continues to stifle Georgia, he stayed on the same formula.
"Let Les handle the team. GEAUX TIGERS!!! SEC CHAMPS!!! SOON TO BE NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!" Exactly! Great season, great memories, and we are going to the 'Ship! Celebrate. My god, folks, anybody here remember the mid to late 70's?
Guys! The offense rolled off 28 unanswered points against UGA after laying a COMPLETE EGG in the first half. I think that this PROVES WITHOUT A DOUBT that Miles knows what the heck he is doing with respect to his decision making process with the QBs. Even when everyone was thinking: "Boy I sure want to see how Lee can do", he stuck with JJ and we absolutely ROLLED them. I can't believe that there is anyone left out there that feels the need to question Miles about the QBs anymore. Those who do, need professional help...

JJ hasn't lost a game in 2 years. You've been down on JJ all year, but all you can do is complain about the process while the results are always positive. LSU is 13-0 and going to the NC as unanimous #1. LSU fans have no reason to complain about anything. Lee made good use of his chances but the back to back picks vs. Alabama showed that he cannot be counted on in the clutch. For all his faults, JJ doesn't give the opponent points and Lee's history is that he does. Take a walk or head to the crapper while LSU is on offense. Maybe that'll help.
folks its just football. It happens everywhere. Coaches play the best player they feel gives them the best chance to win. Individuals dont get screwed in a team sport, its a team sport. Lee is expected to sit and wait and if his attitude suffers then the 3rd guy is ready to step in. football is not about "who got screwed" its about the team winning games. if you arent onbaord with that then that is a bad attitude and it will cause your career in football to suffer. Nothing worse than a guy that has loads of talent but a piss poor attitude.... We've seen a few of those prima donna's in the NFL. Not that Lee is one but just for example. bottom line is if LEE is any kind of football QB he will be ready to roll when called upon.. that is what every player is required to do, start or not. Sure Lee has had some great games! he is a capab le back up! good Job Lee! if something happens to JJ, we can count on Lee! Isnt that great? sure JJ doesnt always have GREAT games. it can be argued that on some days, certain games Lee would be a better fit.. I suppose thats why the coaches are there to figure that out. However, overall its not hard to see that when JJ is rolling he gives us the best shot at winning with his added mobility... Feel sorry for Lee? Dont he probably doesnt.
Yeah .. great season ... except of a big blemish. I just hope there is something we don't know .. like the grades thingy or something. But ..by the look on Lee's face, I don't think that is the case. That is the look of feeling like you've been screwed .. and screwed is likely what is happening. Sorry ... I have a conscience ... I feel the other guys pain. I don't care to win at someone's expense. A part of me wants us to play Bama again .. and that Bama takes CLM's favoritism and shoves it up his azz with a loss. I put humanity over being a Tiger Fan. Winning is not everything. Like one of the other posters said... CLM .. stop pretending this is some sort of 2 QB system. Stop saying shiet on interviews about how thankful you are of Lee, and how he will contribute in the "next two games". Come clean, and state you like JJ better, and that is your man. At least I'll be able to salvage a littel respect for CLM. Sorry folks .. If Lee shows up at the NCG, thus destroying all this B.S. about Grades, etc ... I'll have a hard time celebrating the win. That crystal ball donsn't pay my mortgage .. and quite frankly, I couldn't give a rodent's rectum about it. Watching a young man have the rug pulled out from beneath him is much more concerning to me. Like I said .. I'll wait in great anticipation for the explanation, and hope there is something to the story we don't know about.
Its people like youy whispering in Lee's ear that do more to hurt his career if he stands a chance at one than him holding his head up and doing what Miles asks him to do. Miles is being honest, he does have to legit QB's but sometimes certain games, require certain talent. Players have individual talents. Not all of our WR's have the same talents yet they are all WR's same as our crew of RB's.... Ford runs outside Ware and Hillard bruise the middle..... situational players.... Lee is the same way, JJ is too.
You wax poetic about ethics, then call Les Miles a bigot? Really? Obviously, something is going on with JL. But we don't know what it is. Perhaps the grades issue is truly as grave as is being rumored, in which case, he shouldn't be getting meaningful snaps. Perhaps it's something else, but none of us will know. JL is not only isolated right now from the coaches; he appears isolated from the whole team. Sitting behind the bench last week, I noticed he didn't hang out with the rest of the offense. Did you catch JJ and Mett clowning on the sideline at the end of the game last night? Someone is not fitting in with the team right now--for whatever reason--and that someone is JL. It's troubling to see JL and his obvious emotional pain, but past history shows Miles to be about protecting his players' privacy and keeping problems behind closed doors, in house. But now he's a bigot...and you cannot revel in a 13-0 season, the strongest LSU history.
