I see an erroneous conclusion based on a sample size of one.

Confused. You only know of one time Lee was rattled by a hard hitting defense?

Come on. Its not like he was throwing off his back foot trying to escape a non-existent Northwestern pass rush. Oh. Never mind.

    onceanlsufan,

Really? I checked out on page 6 when i thought this one had run its course. Now it's at 16!

Your tireless drum-beating on this topic speaks more of your need for attention (and your high opinion of yourself) than it does of any deep abiding concerns for Jarret Lee. Hell, most of us feel bad for JL and appreciate his contributions, but we also have some perspective. We don't feel the need to take that empathy to the level of a myopic human rights crusade. Your self-righteous indignation at the lack of outrage tells me you're a bit young and idealistic.

If you live long enough, hopefully you'll outgrow this insufferable phase and realize that back in December 2011 you really got way too invested in an issue that you really don't know much about and have zero control over.

And I have to agree with Fish and Perple that equating Miles QB decisions (on any level) to the Sandusky scandal is really outrageous and inappropriate. It's just offensive and ridiculous to draw such a comparison in any context.

    From a non-football perspective:
That was the most ridiculous comparison I have ever seen. You are like the team mom upset because Jr doesn't get his fair share of snaps. These are big boys! Future NFL players. Not Jr High kids. I'm not sure if it's your love affair for Lee or hate for JJ and Miles, but I do suggest if you truly feel the way you do, and hate CLM so much to make that comparison, go back to being a Hog fan, where we all know you came from anyway.

    From a Football Perspective:
Are you serious? Do you not grasp the concept of "back up" quarterback? Lee is the BACK UP. He was before, he always has been, and he always would have been.

He came in and did a decent job when JJ was out, but it wasnt Heisman talk, and he is STILL the BACK UP

Get over it! Its not Les personally attacking Lee!

Get this straight! We are 13-0 because of both QB's contributions. Although there is NO doubt in my mind we would be 13-0 with just JJ, but probably 11-1 with just JL. The best thing!!! We have one more game to deal with these two QBs, ONE! Thank God

For those saying JJ will choke against Bama and Saban, why don't you go get you a Tide T-shirt for the game. I have watched JJ play Alabama, and beat Alabama 3 straight times. Yes, 3. Because before his ankle injury in 09 we had the lead and JJ was taking care of Bama.

He played well enough to win in 10 and 11 and that is all we need. I don't care if he completes a pass! I don't care if we win 7-3 on a defensive touchdown!

This is the last game for both JJ and JL and this issue is done

We are in the national championship, 13-0, SEC Champions, Greatest Season in History. Have done he unthinkable week in and week out. Gone against ALL odds and have had a year that will never be forgotten!

Some of you are STILL un-happy!!

    Wow

Hey .. we will just have to agree to disagree.

    - I don't think JJ is better than JL. [Don't necessarily think JL is better than JJ either].
    - I've never bought into the talking point that JL was/is and will always be the "backup QB". He started the first 9 games.
    - I think CLM treats the two differently, JJ gets a pass, JL gets scrutiny. [which is the issue]. And that differential treatment effects Lee's play.
    - and while it is cool that we are 13-0, guess I'm not quite the rabbid college football fan that some of you are. It's cool, but it's really not that important to me. I watch for "enjoyment", that is all the benefit I get.

One of the other posters got it. It's not about JJ, no hate for JJ, I just don't like the way CLM has done JLee.

    Good enough.

Really, when did JJ beat bama 3 times in a row. He beat them in 2010, 2011 by my math that is 2 times in a row.2008 and 2009 we lost.

I have read this and other threads about the issue, even thrown in my two cents. As we get to the end of the year there are a couple of things I want to get off my chest.
    1) Many on both sides have said they would be glad when both these QBs are gone. That is sad. While they are not RGIII, Luck or Matt Flynn they have given their best for LSU. Both have shown character and leadership and deserve our thanks for what they have done. LSU is better for them and we should appreciate it.

    2) There was and is room for disscussion on the merits of who should be the starter. I have my opinion and have stated it. That is fair discussion and never should be limited.

    3) Many have questioned Miles' fairness. Certainly that is their right but it seems too many have projected their past or present into Les's mind. I don't understand how a man renown as a players coach and one who obviously loves and is loved by is players can be accused of this. As has been noted too many times we see only the surface. When someone who is on the team or part of the organization says otherwise I believe Les has reasons for his decisions that are understood and accepted by the team. If he were to show such blatant favoritism as has been proposed he would have lost the trust of the team.

    4) We can and should question his judgement. I will say I would have like to see JL earlier in the Ark game and some time in the 1st half of Ga. However I believe JJ is better as a whole and we do not win Alabama or Ga without him same for Jan 9.

    5) QB review JL seems not to handle physical pressure at all. Against Al he is 1 td & 7 ints career, lower than 40% completion rate. He is brave just to do as he has but he seems not to be able to handle the threat of hard hits. This limits his ability to improve and makes him a TO liability that IMO justifies his being 2nd string. JJ seems slower at reading Ds has a long slow release and can be wildly inaccurate. He can also flip a switch and be just the opposite. In general he is less of a TO threat than JL. His ability to run puts added pressure on Ds that show up in games if not the stats. He is our hope Jan 9 with potential JL assist as happened last year.

To finish this debate is fine but remember what these kids have given both of them. They have received much but I believe they have given more. We should all acknowledge that at least once without quibiling and yeah buts.

Definitely more concerned with his QB judgement than fairness.
