Well he clearly prefers playing JJ over Lee. That is perception based not opinion and perception is reality. just to be clear because we have talked about this so much that I have to take puke breaks.....is there anyone here that thinks Lee should start or even get the majority of the snaps against Bama? I think he is situational AT BEST against Bama. The only game im talking about here is Bama. The rest is in the books. Rear view mirror. It's a really simple call to me but obviously alot of people are split on this. I'm not worried about 13-0 anymore. I'm worried about 14-0 ;)

If it's grades, I understand. If it's because JJ is better than Lee, then I seriously question Miles's opinion (based on events in the JJ and Lee saga, including moments during this season). Like I said, I have serious doubts we'd be where we are had QBs been handled like this all season.

That's your opinion and you're welcome to it - you aren't alone it, so revel in that. But I'm not alone either, I base my concerns on more than one season and include how this season started out, with Lee as the sho'nuff starter. A true passing threat opens up the field and makes running easier. Using our RBs vs a pussy-footin QB tenderizes defenses for easier running later in the game. The more touches RBs get, the more they get in the game and are likely to bust a big run. A passing QB better utilizes our talented WRs.

Lee is at best a solid passing QB, but I think that's all we need. We don't need a world beater the way this team is built. A balanced offense makes LSU a beast on both sides of the field. With JJ exclusively, there is less of a threat IMO. He's done pretty well to pretty damn good this season, which is great. I'd love to see both.

We might have gotten more than 30 yards passing and have a key component of our undefeated season actually enjoying himself and feeling a part of the team. JJ did not do well enough to not play Lee (provided this isn't about grades, then all this goes out the window). Get that weak sht out of here.

Lee has also played well in big games. I have no reason to believe he couldn't have success against Bama, nor do I doubt that using both QBs would be beneficial.

You have to be pretty short sighted to believe that situation was because our fans have a problem with Lee. It's like saying those who have an issue with JJ now are racists. The fans have an issue with misuse of QBs - the problem with players has more to do with that than it has to do with just not liking a guy. Miles has fuggled the JJ and Lee saga from the beginning. It is impressive the success he's had despite that, but damn. Despite our record, damn.

You know what the problem is? It's not that LSU fans just have to find something to gripe about. It's that we've seen things go awry in the past and it really doesn't look like a dang thing has changed. My confidence in the Bama game is shaken because of the poor handling of QBs. If I felt like the QBs were being handled properly, if there was a history of that, none of this griping would be happening. My opinions don't matter a whole lot, except that I'm not alone in my feelings and there is a little funk about town and the LSU community because of it.

My opinion on Lee is this. And first of all, I can't divorce it from this football season because in my opinion it has everything to do with this football season. He is an ok quarterback when he has a pocket and 5 or 6 seconds to throw the football. Could Miles have gotten him more PT against WKU, or Ole Miss, or UGA, sure... but Jordan Jefferson missed 4 games. That's reps, and snaps missed due to a bogus charge. Lee did a fantastic job except against Kentucky and Mississippi State. Me personally, I want the guy back there that gives the offense more options. That guy is Jordan Jefferson. I also don't want a guy back there that after he throws an interception, half ass tries to tackle the guy who is running that int back at the 7 yard line. I don't want a guy back there who is going to fold up in the fetal position when he is pressured, or sling one off his back foot like Favre when he is pressured. That's what I see, that's my opinion, I'm glad Lee has contributed this season, but he did his job, it's now time for Jefferson to do his, and they can both ride off into the sunset with a ring.

Sure u aren't worried because he threw for 30? If anything would worry me it's that. We did score over 40 in that game though......I know I know.....running the ball, returning the ball, and playing defense. That's still all 3 phases of the game. Not worried. Different day, different game.

Lee isn't perfect, no doubt, but didn't JJ crumple in the end zone and take a safety? Didn't he hit a Georgia DB in the hands last game? Didn't he have no first downs in the first half vs Georgia?

A running QB has pros and cons. Saban's D ain't going to respect the pass so it's going to be a bitch to run. Expect more three and outs.

Yes, I am worried about that also. The first half looked like our offense last season. Bama is better than Georgia.

    b_leblanc That's just my game...

Jordan Jefferson gives this team the best chance to win. Do people not realize that a man who runs the #1 football team on the country, who eats, sleeps, and sh*ts football every single day of his life is gonna play one above the other for any other reason? Give me a phucking break. People need to get over themselves. I like Jarrett Lee, and we would not be in the position we're in without him, but he had a complete meltdown against bama. The Georgia defense would've eaten his ass up. He throws off his back foot and buckles under pressure, and he is not mobile. He has ALWAYS been this way.

Anyone who believes that Lee gives us the best chance to win, especially on the biggest stage of them all against bama, needs to have their heads examined, because that's just absurd.

Lots of reasons Les Miles is in the driver's seat. That man had to make decisions all day everyday, what's best for the team. Jarrett Lee ain't the only person on the team, and when he's disengaged from his teammates and pouting, instead of celebrating with everyone else, it's gotta make you wonder.

No, watch that play again if you can find it. For some reason we had a max protect with 1 receiver running a route. Jordan should have checked out of the play when he saw the safety moving back. Jordan has taken some shots, and has gotten back up and it hasn't phased him. Does Jordan have faults, well of freakin course he does. He holds onto the ball too long, he has problems reading defenses pre-snap. But, he gives the offense more options, and he is a better overall quarterback than Lee. That is my view on it, and Im pretty sure the coaching staff's view on it also.
