That's precisely the problem. Lee and JJ BOTH should have played that year. Same with 2009. And 2010. Which is why I feel like it's possible that maybe the issue isn't grades, maybe it's Miles's QB philosophy. Maybe he's in the school of thought that co-QBs don't work well (maybe he came to that conclusion after using co-DCs). I think there's a history of misuse of QBs, which puts a question in my mind about what's going on now, despite the strong rumor of academics with Lee (never seen it substantiated).

I'm not a Lee fan as much as I am an LSU fan and I've been screaming misuse of QBs since Perilloux (I think that's been obvious, though). I think in general, the fan base feels the same. We wanted to see JJ when Lee was struggling, we wanted to see Lee more the next season, especially considering that we invested so much in Lee the season prior. It doesn't make much sense to me, but we're talking about Miles here. All he does is win and baffle the world of college football.

So, I'm a little frustrated, know that doesn't change anything, know Miles is gonna do whatever he thinks is right, know Miles is undefeated this season, wait to see what happens in the rematch of the century.

Jack ... don't let people fool you. This has nothing to do with a quarterback controversy. There is no controversy, JJ will be starting, and he will play the entire game.

The issue is that in this "two QB system", one of the QBs hasn't got to play at all. The issue is what justificaiton is their for such. You, I, and many others have noted ... "I sure hope there is another reason for this". As I told izzy ... the issue is not that JJ is playing, or JJ is starting, it's that Lee is not playing at all. He'll never get to play in Tiger Stadium again as a senior .. He'll never again get to play in the SEC CG, and he likely won't play in a NCG, that he was a large part of the reason we are even there. You can't get those things back. Lee will never get those things back, he'll never get those opportunities again. They are gone. It's not unreasonable to question why.

On your situation, and I see it in Lee as well, ... psychology is psychology. I completely understand your celebrating your team losing when you feel you were unjustly slighted. I will understand when Lee feels vindicated, if JJ goes out and stinks up the field, CLM refuses to pull him, and LSU looses.

Let's just hope that doesn't happen, and that at least Lee will get the ring, and be able to point to his friends and family, the stats, that he was a major reason for any of them getting the rings.

    LaSalleAve when in doubt, mumble

That isn't true though, Lee has played, and started 8 games. Lee has played more than Jefferson.

And if Miles had done that, we might be undefeated and headed to the National Championship game by now.

I don't imply anything. If I have something to say I say it. Yes, Lee should have gotten more snaps in other games. Playing against other teams in front of cameras and hundreds of people (that are not your teammates or fans) is a little different then practice.

implied Lasalle ... the last 4 games. More specifically, against AR and GA .. when we had huge leads, and the opponent was defeated.

The fan base whining about this non-issue has really diminished my enjoyment of this season. We are 13-0. Do we really need to have multiple threads talking about the back up QB and why he is not playing? Les Miles’s job is to win football games, not to mind Jarrett Lee’s fee fees.

Lee’s grades may explain his lack of playing time, or maybe Miles is doing the job he is paid to do. Maybe Miles is making some coaching decisions based on who he thinks gives the team the best chance to win, but with LSU fans it can never be that simple. There always has to be something to complain about.

The insanely ironic thing is the instant Lee throws a pick six fans will be screaming for JJ, and booing Miles for even having Lee in the game.

Perfect season in Baton Rouge… go undefeated, win the SEC, win the BCS, fire the coach.

Nobody is calling for Miles head. If you are letting people who just want to know what happened diminish your enjoyment of this season, you are the one letting it happen. Yes some of us would love to know what Lee did, or what Miles is thinking. At the start of this year I was completely pissed off at JJ. I was like he ruined our season, now we have to play Pick 6 boy. Yes I was one of the harshest Lee critics there are.

But you know what? The man earned my respect. He grew up from his previous issues, and superbly led our team to a great record. I understand why and agree with Miles switching him out in the Bama game. It was needed, Lee did not handle the spotlight too well, but afterwards is what boggles me, because it doesn't seem like the Les Miles I know. So yes, I am curious as to what happened.

Did Lee go into the office and bitch? Is it grades? Is the kid okay? We forget these are college students and sometimes they do stupid **** for stupid reasons. The biggest thing is that people who are curious and worried about Lee need to make it clear they are not hating/bashing on JJ or Miles.

And those who don't like Lee need to realize he's earned a ton of peoples respect and there will be people asking what happened and be worried about him. You can't interpret it as them being anti JJ or anti Miles just because that's the easy way out.

Personally I'm done with the conversation, too many people here on both sides are taking it too personally and feeling like the other side is attacking them. I doubt we will ever know what really happened between Les and Lee, but I still hold my faith in LSU and in Miles. Lee will still be my vote for Offensive MVP of this season, as without him we are not where we are today.

There is a reason there's been so many threads, so many post, so much discussion about this issue.

It's because people smell a dead rat!! .. and it stinks!

It's because this is a human issue, not a football issue. And ..like it or not, human issues are important to people. ... more important than a football game and winning. It's in the same category [though no where near in magnitude] as Penn State going out there and winning, all the while, Sandusky is molesting kids.

Miles could put a stop to "some" of the discussion, just come out and say JJ is our starter. .. no more 2 QB system [stop pretending and telling lies to cover up what's really going on]. I say some, because the fact that JLee's play and contribution to this season is still out there, will mean there will still be "some" discussion.

I'm still holding out hope that there is an off the field reason for what we are seeing. ... because .. IMO, there is no on the field reason.

Yes. It is terrible that we are 13-0.

BS. It is only a human issue until J Lee throws a pick six; then the fan base turns on him like it is 2008.

Seems to me it is in the same category of a coach playing Guy A over Guy B because coach thinks Guy A is better.

Or... Miles could carry on coaching his football team and winning championships. Miles knows this team better than any outsider. The guy has shown enough in 7 years that this fanbase should just shut up and trust him. He doesn't care what we think. He acts on what he knows.

Yes let's all hope that J Lee is having some personal problems that are getting in the way of football.:rolleye33:
