I'll just say that I think Miles mishandled QB since the Perrilloux deal. Both QBs should have been playing from the start. Instead we threw Lee to the wolves and then the next season we didn't take advantage of Lee's trial by fire and threw JJ to the wolves. They're still neck and neck and should both be playing. Lee and JJ both struggled against Bama, but hell, that's to be expected. JJ didn't light it up, our D did.

You say Lee curls up, what about the safety/intentional grounding? I think he's had two intentional groundings and has lost double the yards that Lee has in less than half the games. A running QB must always be accounted for, but a passing QB stretches the field. Either way we have a running attack. Both should be playing, IMO.

I hope we see both against Bama. I expect we'll see JJ almost exclusively.

Win or lose, it's jj that will carry the day. If we win, it will be jj that led the offense. If we lose it will be jj that failed the offense.
If you want to be the man, you got to take the heat. If you want to get credit for winning you got to be able to take credit for losing.

I don't think I have ever been killed on this board, but I have taken some heat from comments from time to time. One of which is that I have been a long time critic that both JJ and JL have limited skill sets, and while they do the best they can, within the system our OC's want to run, at the end of the day, they are marginally average to below average QB's. I have also made the observation that both JJ and JL seem to do better when coming off the bench, or at least having a series or two on the sidelines to "regroup." I don't think either one is good enough to be the starter and each should be played every game and IF one has the "hot hand" then they play more that game. I think it was a disservice to JJ to allow him to go 7 three and outs and look pitiful in the UGA game and a slap in the face to JL to not sit JJ after series #3 or 4 and let JL finish the half. Where is Miles' confidence in JL? I agree, both guys have been thrown to the wolves in their careers at LSU, but this is big boy football and you either get better or you don't play. Miles probably did a poor job of making sure he recruited suitable QB's for our system the last 3 seasons. If he had, we probably would not be speaking of JJ or JL at this point in their careers, because they would be holding the clipboards.
Both are liabilities wating to happen. All you can do is pick one and rotate in the other if the offense stalls. I think that is where most fans have issues this season. Wiithout a doubt, JL has moved and motivated this offense and deserves some more rotations in the Offense. I will still contend, that while JL may be able to stretch the field with the pass, he is horrific under pressure, is a turnover waiting to happen, and to that regard JJ has the upper hand in getting us through the NCG. However, I think JL will need a series or two to allow JJ to sit on the sidelines and regroup........... I have always tought that about those two.

Thanks fishy. That would explain the current situation, though I haven't seen articles saying it. I trust you, though.

I never said was a bigot, meanie, stupid, or anything of the sort. Miles is a very good players coach and is clearly loyal to people. I definitely believe that there's more to the story than what's been said. That doesn't mean I can't call people out when they spout BS. Lee has been better this year then Flynn was in '07. Fact. Yet no one ever talks about how bad Flynn was, or how he couldn't handle pressure. But people say that about Lee.

I'd argue Lee has looked weird on the sidelines because as his team is failing to move the ball and going 6 straight 3 and outs, Lee is stuck on the sidelines. You, me, and everyone else would have the exact same expression on their face if put in that situation. A feeling of total helplessness. No matter what the reason is, we don't know. We've heard stories which could very well be true, but we don't know. The reason doesn't matter though, a person would still feel the same. May be even worse. TBH, I don't care what we have to do to win the next game. We can start Honey Badger at QB if it will allow us to score. But people try spinning the story that JJ offers a better offensive scheme. He doesn't. He doesn't turn the ball over, which is why Miles uses him. Stats and everything else shows LSUs offense is worse with JJ in the game. However, Miles uses him. I just hope we can win one more game with him.
