1. lol at this thread.
  2. Dude. Really?

I just realized that you're the long lost progeny of Ramah and 157.
  3. Nah .. it's all about priorities .... something you should try sometime.
  4. Then why are you here?

  5. The sheit pisses me off .... there .. I feel better already:hihi:
  6. Why? This is an open forum, he's a fan with an opinion different from others. Football is only life to those that don't have one. I am not saying that is you or anyone else. The common concern is for a young man's welfare.
I have met him. I was with Jimbo Fisher when he went to Brenham to recruit him. I heard what was said to his father and mother. He's a good person and a good football player. I believed what Fisher told him then about LSU and although Fisher is long gone, his words concerning LSU values should not be.

  7. You're correct - my hypotheses were obviously way off. You sound more like a narcissist with projectionist tendencies.
  8. Lee will start the BCS championship. He'll throw for 200+ yards. Jefferson will enter in the "Perilloux" role and run the option. LSU will have 150+ yards rushing.

Alabama will say after the game...what the hell was that?

The BCS crystal football will disappear only to be found a week later in TM7's dorm room. The Honey Badger takes what he wants and doesn't give a damn about anybody else!
  9. Thanks TF.

Some of the people here don't seem to understand that values trump "winning".

I don't begrudge the LSU Tigers a single victory. I'm actually proud to be from Louisiana, and proud to see the Tigers playing for gold. And I know that this team is made up of more than just 2 people, and in fact, I'll be the first to recognize that it's been the other players on this team that have made this season, and deserve every ounce of the reward.

But, that doesn't mean that the crap CLM has pulled on JLee is excusable. Like I've said, I'm waiting to hear the explanation. .. surely their something that we commons don't know that has driven this decision besides pure biased preference. .. because it damn sure ain't because JJ is a better QB, or gives a better chance to win. That was proven last night.
  10. For a doctoral student you really aren't very objective, are you? You continue to invoke ethics and values in support of your assertions that JL should have more playing time.

As a budding scientist, you'd be much better served by simply accepting the Darwinist aspects of competitive sports. It's a natural selection process that tends to result in the most athletic players taking the field. Is it infallible? No - but the mistakes tend to be self-correcting in the long-run.

Do you think it possible that JL might have usurped a well-deserving player at some point in his career? My guess is that he didn't get to LSU by just being a decent human being.

And neuroscience is really no different. The most talented of your peers will reap the greatest rewards (e.g. salary, publications, discoveries, patents, advancements). That's the way it is and the way it should be.
