Whether or not trump knew beforehand of Rhodes's plan for January 6 is an open question, but it's doubtful trump and Rhodes planned it together. What's hilarious is that Rhodes believed trump would automatically intervene on his behalf, not understanding that without Mike Pence's participation the entire attempt at overturning the election would fall apart. trump never got the legal cover he needed to invoke the Insurrection Act or martial law, so Rhodes didn't get his. Rhodes is a victim of his own stupidity in believing that trump has actual balls.
