Any truth to the rumor that you invited an Aubbie to your tailgate? If so, I see why now. You casted bait in the form of food and are hoping to lure it?

It's called confidence! AU believes that they will come in here and win, especially with LSU turning the ball over 9 times and committing a couple of dozen penalties in the last 2 games. Also, AU is the defending SEC Champ, unbeaten in SEC play. Even though we're a better team, we're not better coached. Tubby is lickin' his chops in anticipation of those mistakes and will build an entire game plan around those hopes. LSU lives or dies on its own mistakes and poor coaching.

AU scared! Only a complete idiot would think that ... AU's confident!

I haven't been around campus this week, but everyone I've talked to is fricken pumped about this weekend.

Personally, I look forward to the LSU-Aub game week almost as much as Christmas. This is the most anticipated game of the year for me and I can't wait to see ol' Tubby on the sidelines frustrated as hell because he:

    1. Can't move the ball on LSU's D
    2. Can't hear anything because of an extremely loud Tiger Stadium
    3. Can't stop Joseph Addai, Skyler Green, Dwayne Bowe, etc...

Okay, since things are "sooooo quiiieeeet" around here, I'll jes' play along for you Tigahs

One thing is for certain. If Auburn is able to move the ball on LSU's D, then they won't need to worry about numbers two and three.

Personally, I believe LSU should be favored, but this game is likely to be much closer than the spread indicates. And IMO, here's a few reasons why that could be the case:

Auburn will present several, new offensive play-sets that have not been used this season, many of which will be designed to diffuse the pressure from LSU's athletic D-front. Since the key matchup will likely be KW and Wroten against C Joe Cope and G Ben Grubbs, it will be critical that Cox gets off early over the middle on the short routes that will prevent AU's O-line from losing its poise early in the game.

AU will be starting backup tailback Kenny Irons in place of Brad Lester (hamstring) who has not yet shown to be a good blocker this season, but is capable of slipping between the cracks and into the secondary - he is a nimble runner. If KI can successfully pick up LSU's blitz, AU's receivers and TE's could have a superb chance to damage LSU's secondary. Look for Borges to start with several draws and screens designed to slow the speed rush and attempt to keep Pellini honest.

LSU will bring overloaded pressure ...... consistently. Earlier in the season, GT's Tenuta confused AU's OL with the same type of agresssion, movement, and overload. The only way to get them to stop is to make 'em pay, so I predict Cox will go deep early, but I doubt often.

This is what bigtime footbal is all about. Should be a real barnburner :hihi:

Ah! Sweet memories! I only saw the back end of that dump until now ... Ole "Marrero" hurled that perfect projectile through one of the many windows.
