As I post this from my phone, I was wondering if anyone else is having issues getting onto TF? I can't log on fro my home computer (white screen), but every other site works. Thought it was Google Chrome but Windows Explorer has same issue so it doesn't seem to be the browser. Any suggestions?
happened to me last night. couldn't get to the home page from Firefox or Explorer. I started a thread about it in the Roundtable, but I can't find it now.
It's because Rhett has moved TF to a new server with a different IP address. It will take about a week for the new IP address to be updated to everyone's ISP's DNS servers. Some ISP's update their DNS servers daily, others do it weekly. Everything will work itself out shortly.
Sorry about the problems guys. We moved to a new server a few days ago and there are always DNS issues depending on the network people are on. Some networks take their sweet time updating their DNS records. Sometimes it's an issue with your local machine. Here is a tip that our host sent me to make sure you're getting the most updated DNS records. ************************ It seems you may be getting a cached DNS response. You may need to close your browser and clear your DNS cache. In Mac OS X Tiger, open terminal and type: lookupd -flushcache In Mac OS X Leopard, open terminal and type: dscacheutil -flushcache In Windows XP or Vista, use: Start/Run "cmd" In the resulting command window type "ipconfig /flushdns" You can now restart your browser to see fresh DNS results. ********************* Hope that helps some of you.
I haven't been able to access until now.:thumb: BTW, I didn't do anything except hit my normal link that I have always used to get in.
This is the first time in a few days I have been able to access the website. Everything's normal for a day and then...no access. I don't have a clue what's going on. If there's something I need to do myself, please advise me. This is getting pretty frustrating.
